How much does it cost to start an oven cleaning business?
With us, you can start with one-week oven cleaning training for £1,500, add a heated tank for £3,000 in total, or take the full on-the-job business setup for £5,500. The tank on its own is £2,000. Beyond the package you choose, you will still need a van and the usual business basics such as insurance. There is no long-term contract and no lock-in on any option.
What you are really paying for
Starting an oven cleaning business is not one single fee. Most people need training, a heated dip tank and tools, a van to carry the kit, and a way to win customers. You can buy each piece separately, or take a package that covers more of it for you.
This page sets out what our options cost, what each one includes, and what else you should budget for. For the full list of packages, see our pricing page.
Our package prices
- Training only — £1,500. One week of hands-on oven cleaning training on real jobs in South East London.
- Training plus tank — £3,000. The same training week, plus an oven cleaning tank. Nothing else is included with this option: no installation, tools, logo, website, SEO or ongoing support.
- Full on-the-job business setup — £5,500. The training week and an oven cleaning tank installed for you, plus all the tools and equipment, logo creation, a website, office and business set-up, 3 months of free SEO, Facebook ad campaign set-up by Eagle Eye Ads, ongoing support and ongoing marketing support for life.
- Tank on its own — £2,000. If you already have the skills and only need the tank.
None of these options has a long-term contract or lock-in. You choose how much help you want, pay for that option, and run the business your way.
What the training week includes
Training is delivered on the road in South East London (Bromley area), led by Lee, our head trainer. Day 1 is mostly shadowing with some basic practical work. Days 2 to 5 are hands-on: taking doors off, taking them apart, scraping, scrubbing and putting ovens, hobs and extractors back together. If there are concerns about your skill level by day 5, you are invited back for extra training days free of charge.
People travel in for the week from across the UK and Ireland, then run their business where they live. Upcoming weeks are listed on the training dates page.
What else to budget for
Whatever package you choose, plan for a few extras that sit outside our fees:
- A van that can carry a heated tank safely.
- Public liability insurance (and employers' liability if you take people on).
- Business registration as a sole trader or limited company.
- Cleaning products and consumables once you are trading, if they are not covered by the kit in your package.
We do not publish van, insurance or product prices here, because those depend on your own suppliers and cover. Ask your insurer and van dealer for current quotes.
How this compares with a franchise
Oven cleaning franchises often ask for a large up-front investment and a long-term agreement with ongoing fees. Our packages are a franchise-style start without that lock-in: you get training and, with the full setup, branding and marketing help under your own name. Read the full comparison in oven cleaning franchise vs going independent, or the step-by-step overview in how to start an oven cleaning business.
Who the packages suit
- Training only if you already have a tank or plan to buy kit yourself and mainly want the skills.
- Training plus tank if you want the skills and the tank, and will handle branding and marketing yourself.
- Full on-the-job business setup if you want the training, kit, logo, website, SEO and Facebook campaign set-up handled for you, with ongoing marketing support.
You learn inside a working group: Eagle Eye Oven Cleaning runs 12 vans, Local Oven Cleaning runs 2, and Eagle Eye Ads is the in-house marketing company. That is the same group behind the methods you learn on the road.
Next step
If a price and package look right, check the upcoming training dates and send an enquiry. There is no obligation. We will talk through which option fits where you are starting from.
A simple way to choose
Write down what you already have (van, tools, marketing skills) and what you still need. Match that list to the three packages on the pricing page. If you are unsure, enquire anyway: we will explain the difference between training only, training plus tank and the full setup without pressure to buy the dearest option.
